SCOTTISH FESTIVAL & CELTIC GATHERING, May 1-3
This annual event held in Bridgeport City Park features world class Scottish music, authentic foods, sanctioned solo bagpipe competition, sanctioned Scottish heavy athletic events, sanctioned highland dancing competition, as well as genealogy, Scottish breed dogs, and many other activities. NATIONWIDE TOUR PLAYERS CUP, June 22-28
The Nationwide Tour Players Cup is the premier in-season championship on the Nationwide Tour schedule. Owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, the Nationwide Tour enters its 20th season as the official proving ground of the PGA TOUR. All four days of tournament play (June 25-28) will be televised internationally on the Golf Channel. Don’t miss any of the excitement as the top 144-players on the 2009 Nationwide Tour money list make their way to Bridgeport, WV, June 22-28, at the Pete Dye Golf Club. www.playerscup.net
BENEDUM FESTIVAL, July 10 -11
The festival runs Friday and Saturday at the Bridgeport City Park. Watch free concerts and laser and fireworks shows, participate in the pet parade or 5K Run, visit the quilt show or check out our indoor gaming center. Bring the kids and enjoy the children's activities, games and events on Saturday afternoon. Other events related to the festival are the pageant and the banquet.
