EventsSCOTTISH FESTIVAL & CELTIC GATHERING April 30 - May 2 This annual event held in Bridgeport City Park features world class Scottish music, authentic foods, sanctioned solo bagpipe competition, sanctioned Scottish heavy athletic events, sanctioned highland dancing competition, as well as genealogy, Scottish breed dogs, and many other activities. This year the festival is proud to host the World Highland Games Heavy Athletics competition with the top 10 professional Scottish Heavy Events Athletes competing for world championship status.
JAZZ AT CHARLES POINTE May 21 - 22
Professional jazz musicians from major metropolitan areas throughout the Mid-Atlantic will gather for a weekend of performances and workshops. Two nights of dinner performances in a jazz club atmosphere featuring the fine cuisine of the Bridgeport Conference Center at Charles Pointe highlight the weekend.

BENEDUM FESTIVAL July 9 - 10
The festival runs Friday and Saturday at the Bridgeport City Park. Watch free concerts and fireworks shows, participate in the pet parade or 5K Run, visit the quilt show or other family activities. Bring the kids and enjoy the children's activities, games and events on Saturday afternoon. Other events related to the festival are the pageant and the banquet.
